Monadelphous is seeking a capable and driven Project Engineer – Civil & Structural to support the successful execution of a major gas turbine power station project in Queensland.

This is a project delivery role supporting a large-scale power generation project, encompassing civil and structural construction scopes and interfaces across engineering, procurement and construction. The position will initially be based in the project office before transitioning to site on a 2:1 roster during the execution phase.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of engineering and construction activities across defined project scopes, while working alongside experienced project leaders and contributing to the successful delivery of a major energy infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate civil and structural engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities to support safe and successful project delivery
• Provide technical support across civil and structural project scopes, ensuring engineering deliverables align with construction requirements
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, procurement, quality, project controls, commercial and construction teams
• Support project planning, forecasting, progress reporting and execution strategies for assigned work packages
• Manage technical queries, design changes, construction issues and engineering interfaces throughout the project lifecycle
• Review engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives to resolve technical and delivery issues
• Monitor construction progress and provide engineering support to ensure activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to program
• Support construction readiness, commissioning Planning and project close-out activities
• Contribute to a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

What you'll bring:

• RPEQ registration is mandatory for this role
• 5-10 years' experience delivering civil and/or structural engineering scopes within power generation, energy, oil & gas, mining or heavy industrial sectors
• Demonstrated experience in a Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer or similar project delivery role
• Strong understanding of engineering and construction delivery within multidisciplinary project environments
• Experience supporting large-scale power generation, gas turbine, energy or industrial infrastructure projects highly regarded
• Engineering degree qualification in Civil, Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Sound understanding of Australian Standards, engineering specifications and construction requirements
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve engineering issues in a construction environment
• Good commercial awareness with experience supporting project costs, variations, procurement and delivery requirements
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors and clients
• Commitment to safety, quality and delivering successful project outcomes
