Our client, a leading Australian resources company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a high-performing project team delivering a major multi-billion-dollar development in WA.
Roster: Monday to Friday Perth based with site travel
Start date: Early June 2026
Duration: approx. 12 months - depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $85.00 p/h
The Role:
This is a key role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of non-process infrastructure packages including accommodation villages, utilities, access roads, laydown areas, water and wastewater systems, and associated civil works.
Reporting to the Package Lead, you will manage NPI packages from design through procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This position offers a Perth-based Monday to Friday arrangement with regular site travel on a rostered basis.
Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the delivery of camp and non-process infrastructure packages.
- Develop scopes of work, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Manage procurement, contractor evaluations, and contract administration.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, logistics, HSE, and external stakeholder interfaces.
- Oversee site execution, quality, safety, and compliance activities.
- Monitor schedule, cost, risks, and project milestones.
- Resolve technical queries, design changes, and non-conformances.
- Participate in constructability and safety reviews including HAZID and HAZOP.
The ideal candidate will hold the following**:**
- Degree-qualified Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or related discipline).
- 8+ years' experience delivering major mining, infrastructure, or resources projects.
- Strong experience with non-process infrastructure, camps, utilities, and supporting civil works.
- Proven contractor and stakeholder management capability.
- Solid commercial and contractual skills.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project controls.
