About the Role

We are seeking a capable and collaborative Project Accountant to support a major decommissioning project based in our Southbank office, Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring effective financial management across a large-scale and technically complex project, partnering closely with project and commercial teams to deliver accurate reporting and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, monitor and analyse project financials, including budgets, forecasts and cost tracking
  • Partner with project teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting, including variance analysis
  • Support project governance through compliance with financial controls and processes
  • Assist in financial planning, cash flow management and cost control initiatives

About you

  • Experience in a project accounting or finance role, ideally within construction, engineering or infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams
  • Effective communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly
  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
