About the Role

As the Program Manager, you will lead the stewardship, performance and operational oversight of the organisation’s ground and zone substation assets. You will guide multidisciplinary teams responsible for protection, zone assets and field delivery, ensuring programs are executed safely, efficiently and in alignment with strategic network plans. You will work closely with engineering, secondary systems and asset management teams to deliver capital and maintenance programs, respond to network emergencies, and drive continuous improvement across safety, productivity and asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the stewardship, performance and operational oversight of the organisation’s ground and zone substation assets.
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams responsible for protection.
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams responsible for zone assets.
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams responsible for field delivery.
  • Ensure programs are executed safely, efficiently and in alignment with strategic network plans.
  • Work closely with engineering, secondary systems and asset management teams to deliver capital and maintenance programs.
  • Respond to network emergencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety, productivity and asset performance.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale operational or capital programs (>$20M)
  • Strong understanding of electricity network infrastructure, operations and maintenance
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams in complex industrial environments
  • Experience driving organisation‑wide improvements in safety, delivery and performance
  • Strong commercial, financial and asset management acumen
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing risk, resources and operational priorities
  • Demonstrated capability in managing safety and technical risk
