About the Role

BMA’s Hay Point Terminalhas a great opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor who is looking to take the next step in their career in this leadership role.  Reporting to the Superintendent Production, your primary responsibility as a Production Supervisor will be to lead a Production team.  We are looking for an energetic, progressive and collaborative leader to join our leadership team as Supervisor. Be a part of this dynamic and experienced team to ensure safe production in accordance with daily production schedules.

Working a Permanent Day Shift roster Mon-Thur or Lifestyle Roster, reporting to the Superintendent Production Port your key responsibilities will include:

• The ability and courage to lead change and develop high performing crews;
• Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development;
• Supervise the execution of the week 0 production schedule;
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives with support from Production Analysis and Improvement;
• Liaise with pilots, shipping agents and other personnel involved in the ship handling role and directly supervise the onshore activities of vessel arrival and departure.
• Manage small team of BMA and contract employees
• Supervise minor civil works

About You

You will also be able to demonstrate previous success in leading a diverse team to deliver exceptional safety and operational results, as well as possess the following:

• Experience working in the Coal industry, specifically Port Production is desirable but not essential for this position.
• You will have a strong understanding of the risks of the supervisor position and SHMS, with experience in facilitating risk management investigations;
• You will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written along with your ability to influence stakeholders by setting direction, providing sufficient communications to gain agreement and commitment at all levels while taking accountability and have an action oriented working style;
• You will be provided with exposure to all levels of the organisation, and this role will see you develop influential relationships with multiple functions and stakeholders, including senior leadership;
• A requirement of this position is the ability to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification card (MSIC)
