Your new role
As part of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading production crews and ensuring safe, efficient site operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing strong leadership to production crews, fostering a safe and productive work environment
• Ensuring compliance with the Site Safety Health Management System, Environmental Management Plans, and statutory requirements
• Achieving operational targets while maintaining strict safety standards
• Leading and participating in daily pre-start and safety meetings
• Completing and submitting Safe Act Observations (SAOs) in line with site processes
• Building, mentoring, and maintaining high-performing teams
• Monitoring production performance and maintaining accurate operational records

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven leadership experience within an open cut mining operation
• Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation and statutory requirements
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
