About the Role

MacKellar is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our growing Nyngan mining operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, supporting and developing the operational team, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Working closely with the broader site leadership team, you will drive a strong safety culture, maximise equipment utilisation and support the achievement of production targets. This is an opportunity to join a long-term project and play an important role in building a high-performing production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and support production crews to achieve daily targets
  • Coordinate day-to-day mining activities and allocate resources effectively
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the operation
  • Monitor production performance, equipment utilisation and operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and other crew communications
  • Ensure compliance with site procedures, policies and relevant legislation
  • Work closely with Maintenance and other site departments to coordinate operational requirements
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to team members
  • Report on production performance, safety and operational issues
  • Support the development of a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a Production Supervisor or similar leadership role within a mining environment
  • Strong experience in open-cut production mining
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop operational teams
  • Strong understanding of production, safety and operational processes
  • Experience working with excavators, dozers and other production mining equipment highly regarded
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing operational environment
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Current relevant RII competencies and mining qualifications
  • Current Australian driver's licence
