2/1 FIFO Roster | Temp to Perm Opportunity

Hays Mining are currently working with a well-established gold mining operation seeking an experienced Open Pit Supervisor to join their site-based leadership team on a 2/1 FIFO roster. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a motivated supervisor looking to secure long-term employment within a high-performing operation.

Your new role:

As an Open Pit Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of daily mining activities within the open pit. Reporting to site leadership, you will play a key role in driving production, maintaining safety standards, and leading crews to achieve operational targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising day-to-day open pit mining operations
• Leading, mentoring, and coaching operators and contractors
• Ensuring compliance with site safety systems, procedures, and statutory requirements
• Executing mine plans and schedules to meet production targets
• Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety interactions
• Liaising with technical services, maintenance, and contractors

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• S26 Supervisor Qualification (Statutory)
• Proven experience supervising open pit gold mining operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A proactive approach to safety and team engagement
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment
• Full Australian working rights
