Production Engineer

• 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth, or residential in Kambalda/Kalgoorlie.
• 1 hour flight from Perth
• Ideal role for an experienced open pit Production Engineer

The Opportunity:

You’ll work closely with a diverse and high performing team for our Open Pit Mining Team at St Ives Gold Mine.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Production you will be responsible for drill and blast designs and short-term scheduling in line with short to medium term plans.

What You’ll Do

• Play a role in guiding the mine to success by developing and implementing 2-weekly production plans that align the mine to its mid and long-term plan
• Contribute to continuous improvement through your analysis of blast performance and optimisation of dilution and recovery.
• Role model our core values and create a culture where every team member feels seen, supported, and valued.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• Manual driver’s licence
• A WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency highly regarded
• Previous experience within open pit engineering experience, with drill and blast design, preferably gold
• Demonstrated exposure to drill and blast design software is essential, preferably Deswik.
