Naracoopa Mineral Sands mines and processes heavy mineral sands from Fraser Beach on King Island, Tasmania. As the business continues to grow, Naracoopa are investing in their people, processes and operations to maximise plant performance and unlock future opportunities. Joining a close-knit team, you'll play a key role in optimising plant performance, improving product quality and delivering continuous improvement initiatives that directly contribute to the success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimising plant performance, recovery and product quality
• Designing and improving mineral processing circuits and operating practices
• Supporting the commissioning of plant upgrades and new equipment
• Monitoring process performance, troubleshooting operational issues and implementing practical solutions
• Conducting sampling, analysing process data and identifying improvement opportunities
• Managing metallurgical test work and continuous improvement projects
• Preparing technical reports, production analyses and project documentation
• Collaborating with operations, geology, mining and maintenance teams to improve operational outcomes
• Supporting the achievement of production, quality and safety objectives

Key Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Process or related Engineering discipline
• Minimum two years' experience within mineral processing or a related industry
• Knowledge of mineral processing techniques including gravity separation, magnetic separation and flotation (highly regarded)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A practical, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
• The ability to manage competing priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
