About the Role
IntroductionJoin a major global resources organisation in a high-impact procurement governance and improvement role supporting enterprise-wide policy, assurance, process and transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement, governance or process improvement professional who enjoys working across complex stakeholder groups and helping shape practical, effective business frameworks.
About this role
Working within a specialist procurement function, you will support the ongoing management and continuous improvement of procurement policies, standards, governance frameworks and assurance activities. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Sustainability, Ethics & Compliance and Internal Audit, helping translate complex requirements into practical business outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the maintenance and improvement of procurement policies, standards and governance frameworks
- Coordinating policy implementation, communications and stakeholder engagement
- Supporting governance, assurance and compliance activities
- Improving procurement exception, approval and control processes
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve user experience
- Supporting strategic procurement and transformation initiatives
- Assisting with performance reporting and deep dives into key risk areas
- Contributing to improvements in procurement tools, templates and frameworks
- Supporting emerging AI-enabled process and documentation improvements
- Acting as a key link between policy, process, performance and implementation teams

- Experience in procurement, procurement governance, policy, assurance, risk, process improvement or transformation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to interpret complex information and turn it into practical business outcomes
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving capability
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Confidence working autonomously and taking ownership of initiatives
- Experience working within a large corporate environment
Experience within mining, resources or energy would be advantageous, although strong candidates from other complex industries will also be considered.
