Introduction
On behalf of our client, a High-Profile Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Principal Advisor - Cost to support the Closure Execution of a Project. You will be responsible for leading cost forecasting, reporting and cost control activities while providing leadership to a team of Cost Controllers. This will be a 12 month contract, based in the Brisbane, CBD.
About this role
- Manage a team of Cost Controllers and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead forecasting and progress reporting of project costs, commitments and expenditure
- Liaise with stakeholders to support package forecasting activities
- Facilitate Project Change Management processes
- Review cost data and provide trend analysis and recommendations
- Support proposal, bid and claim evaluations with the Contracts team
- Prepare estimates to assess scenario options
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Construction Contractors to support cost and schedule forecasting
- Possible requirement to travel to the project site from time to time
Is this you?
Extensive experience in Cost Control for major construction packages Understanding of project management and project controls concepts Strong commitment to safety Experience using cost management tools Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively within a team environment Exposure to major projects and Tier 1 EPC or EPCM contractors is desirable
