About the Role

We are seeking experienced Poly Welders to support current and upcoming shutdown, maintenance and project works across Australia’s largest mine sites. In this casual FIFO role, you’ll access consistent work across 90+ client sites, competitive rates and genuine long-term career opportunities within a well-established national contractor.

Apply your HDPE expertise across large-scale mining water and services infrastructure. As a Poly Welder, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating and installing HDPE pipe spools for fixed plant, dewatering and process water systems
• Operating poly welding machinery including tracked fusion equipment
• Assisting with pipe installation, alignment and testing across shutdown and project scopes
• Reading and interpreting drawings, weld procedures and isometric plans
• Working safely and in accordance with permit-to-work, isolation and site safety procedures

What You’ll Need

We are looking for skilled and safety-focused Poly Welders who thrive in fast-paced shutdown and maintenance environments.

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years Poly Welding experience
• Butt Welding (PMBWELD301E)
• Electrofusion Welding (PMBWELD302E)
• Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years)
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Valid Australian work rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Highly Desirable:

• Previous mining experience
• Experience with McElroy or Dixon tracked welding machinery
• Client inductions (Rio Tinto, Fortescue, BHP, etc.)
• Additional trade or high-risk tickets (Dogging, Rigging, Telehandler or Excavator)
