Plant Operator

Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Plant Operator for an upcoming opportunity with one of our valued clients.

This role is suited to a safety-focused operator with proven experience on large production equipment who is comfortable working across both operations and maintenance activities. You will play a key role in supporting site production through efficient stockpile management, material handling, and equipment operation.

About the Role

Working within an established operational team, you will be responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment, maintaining stockpiles, supporting site housekeeping activities, and assisting with plant maintenance tasks when operational requirements allow.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate D10 and D11 Dozers in a safe and productive manner
• Operate Komatsu WA375 Front End Loader
• Manage stockpiles and material movement activities
• Perform pre-start inspections and report equipment defects
• Assist with plant maintenance and shutdown activities when required
• Maintain housekeeping standards across operational areas
• Follow site safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture
• Work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve production targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Demonstrated experience operating D10 and D11 Dozers
• Demonstrated experience operating Komatsu WA375 Front End Loader
• Experience performing stockpile management and material handling activities
• Current Open Australian Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability and willingness to assist with plant maintenance activities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable work ethic with a proactive approach to tasks

Highly Regarded

• Previous experience in mining, quarrying, processing, or heavy industrial environments
• Mechanical aptitude or fixed plant maintenance experience
• Additional machinery tickets and site-based qualifications
