Position: Planning Engineer

Location: Jundee

Roster: 8 days on 6 days off, FIFO ex Perth

What you can look forward to:

• Produce accurate and clear mine instructions (lateral and vertical mine development, stope notes) by bringing conceptual designs to execution-ready plans.
• Work closely with the geology team to ensure designs are in line with available geological information.
• Evaluation of prospective remnant areas and improvement projects to optimise mining practices.
• Assist the Senior Engineer in developing weekly and monthly plans and schedules and ensuring compliance to monthly and 3MS special requirements
• Management of underground contractors for project work where required.
• Work closely with survey and operations to prioritise and execute development activities.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience:

Ideal candidate should have strong working knowledge in underground hard rock mining, showcasing comprehensive practicality in production, project management and underground practical time completed. Desirable skills include competency using Deswik packages (CAD, MDM and IS) with demonstrated working knowledge in a fast-paced mechanised hard-rock underground operation. This coupled with understanding of narrow vein mining and forward planning is ideal.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Valid manual Driver’ license – Class C.
