Step into a pivotal role as People Business Partner - Surface Mining, partnering closely with operational leaders to deliver practical, commercially focused people partnership across our operations. You will be a trusted partner and plays a key part in building leadership capability, supporting workforce performance and ensuring people practices are applied consistently and compliantly at the Tropicana operation. About the role
- Permanent full-time position.
- 4 days-on 3 days-off roster on site, complemented by a 5 days on 2 days off rotation at our Perth Head Office (near Perth Airport).
- The responsiblities will include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with operational leaders to deliver people initiatives that support business performance, workforce capability and project outcomes across the Tropicana site and Surface Mining operations.
- Provide trusted HR and employee relations advice across performance, conduct, investigations, disciplinary matters and terminations, ensuring compliance with policy, legislation and industrial frameworks.
- Use workforce insights, HR metrics and HRIS data to identify trends and drive improved people and operational outcomes.
- Partner with leaders, recruitment and the mobilisation team to support talent acquisition, onboarding, mobilisation, retention and workforce planning across the site.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employee Relations or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated People (HR) Business Partner experience in mining, contracting or in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, industrial relations and contemporary people practices, ideally within blue-collar or operational workforces.
- Ability to interpreate legislations and enterprise agreemetns
- Experience using SuccessFactors is not mandatory or will be desirablble.
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility across leaders, site teams and corporate function
