People Business Partner

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced People Business Partner to join our New Zealand business. Based in Christchurch, you'll partner closely with operational leaders, providing practical HR support and advice to a local workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment and being part of a business experiencing continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with leaders on employee relations, performance and workforce matters
• Supporting workforce planning, mobilisation and growth initiatives
• Managing investigations and providing practical HR advice
• Coaching and supporting leaders across the employee lifecycle
• Contributing to people initiatives that drive engagement and business performance

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisory role
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation
• A pragmatic, solutions focused approach
• Confidence influencing and supporting operational leaders
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• HR qualifications and/or significant generalist HR experience
• Exposure to mining, construction, resources or other operational environments will be highly regarded

Role Details

• Location: Christchurch
• Roster: Monday to Friday | Site travel as required
