The Opportunity
At Komatsu, we’re looking for a skilled Payroll Officer to take ownership of end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand - weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles. You’ll be the go-to expert ensuring compliance, accuracy, and high-quality service, working with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
This role plays a critical part in delivering a seamless payroll experience and supporting transformation initiatives across our P&C and finance functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing of payroll in line with EAs, contracts, and company policies with accuracy and in a timely fashion.
- Handling PAYG, super, payroll tax, and other legislative reporting.
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and queries.
- Maintaining and generating compliant payroll records and reporting.
- Supporting audits and financial planning process.
- Executing end-of-month/year processes and payroll-related improvements.
- Supporting and educating managers, P&C, and employees on payroll matters.

What we are looking for
- Proven hands-on expertise in end-to-end payroll (AU/NZ), legislation, STP2, super, EA/award interpretation working within a large payroll environment.
- Experience with Excel, SAP ECC6, CATS, and SuccessFactors.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- A team player who can thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in payroll system transformation or integration projects.
- Solid understanding of payroll-related compliance and reporting.
