Payroll Officer

Pearl Recruitment are partnered with a WA-owned and operated heavy haulage company who supply logistics solutions to metro, regional and mining sites across WA. Located in Wangara, they are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to support the finance department.

You will join the team initially on a temporary assignment although it may have potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant end-to-end payroll while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end weekly payroll for over 300 employees across five mine sites, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with payroll preparation, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
• Respond to payroll-related queries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, awards, and other legislative requirements.
• Work collaboratively with an experienced Payroll Officer to deliver efficient payroll services.
• Support the finance team with general payroll administration and continuous process improvements where required.

About You

• Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll, ideally within mining, resources, construction, engineering, transport, earthmoving, or similar industries.
• Previous payroll processing experience is a must.
• Experience using payroll systems, with MYOB AlphaBiz highly regarded.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical ability.
• Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Full Australian working rights.

Hours & Remuneration:

• Monday - Friday (some flexibility may be on offer for the right person)
• $45-$55 p/hr + super (Depending on experience)
• Weekly pay
