THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to support the Payroll Team during a high activity period and the implementation of our new payroll system.

Reporting to the Payroll Lead, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, as well as responding to payroll enquiries across the business.

This is a Max-Term (12-Months) position on a 5/2 roster based at the West Perth office

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process monthly pay-runs, including liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate authorisation is in place
  • Undertaking the processing of payroll records including salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, superannuation, time in lieu, new hires and terminations
  • Provide support on various payroll related projects as needed
  • Support reconciliation activities, including leave discrepancies
  • Process payments to PAYG, Child Support, Maxxia and other deductions
  • Monitor and process employee leave requests
  • Maintaining accurate employee records
  • Manage and respond to employee payroll queries in a timely, professional manner

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven end-to-end payroll experience
  • Demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using Access MicrOpay or Definitiv and ConnX (desirable)
  • Able to work well in team environments and with key stakeholders across the business
  • Competent is MS office packages
  • High degree of confidentiality
