Komatsu’s Wacol branch is growing, and we are currently seeking multiple Painters to join our workshop team.

This is a hands-on role focused on electrical fit-outs and preparation of a wide range of machinery including:

• Brand-new machines
• Mining Equipment
• Construction & Utility Equipment

You’ll work across machine preparation, masking, painting, detailing, touch-ups and final presentation before equipment is delivered to customers.

We are open to candidates from a variety of trade backgrounds including:

• Industrial Painters
• Automotive Spray Painters
• Heavy Vehicle Painters
• Trade Qualified Painters
• Trades Assistants with heavy commercial painting experience

Whether you already have experience in heavy equipment or are looking to transition into the industry, Komatsu can provide the training, support, and development to help build your long-term career.

Roster: Monday to Friday: 5:00am to 1:57pm OR 2:00pm to 10:27pm

What we are looking for:

• Trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing, Spray Painting, Industrial Coatings or similar
• Open to Trades Assistants with heavy commercial painting experience
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Experience preparing and painting heavy mobile equipment or commercial machinery highly regarded
• Knowledge of paint preparation, masking and finishing techniques
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Industry standard tickets/Licenses Preferred but not essential (Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights)
