About the role:

As a Leading Hand Painter Blaster, you are responsible for ensuring all employees in your area adhere to company policies and procedures at all times. You will need to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for motivating and inspiring the team, ensuring they deliver their best performance every day.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Daily running of prestart meetings with your immediate work crew
  • Allocating jobs to the crew
  • Maintaining painting and blasting equipment along with the facilities and amenities
  • Ensuring workforce are wearing appropriate PPE and following safety guidelines at all times
  • Recording work activities, materials used and safety procedures for compliance and reporting purposes
  • Working with team members to coordinate tasks and achieve project goals efficiently
  • Handling hazardous materials responsibly and following environmental regulations
  • Maintaining stock levels of paint and consumables
  • Conducting routine inspections to ensure work area is safe

What we are looking for:

  • Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience as a Leading Hand
  • Ability to manage a team of 12 – 15 workers
  • Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, WAH, Crane, etc
