About the Role
Reporting to the CHPP Supervisor, you will play a key role in the operation and optimisation of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant. This is a hands-on role requiring strong operational awareness, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing team.
What You'll Do:
- Perform production tasks including inspections, troubleshooting, machinery operation, and cleaning while maintaining 5S standards.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance on CHPP equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns, troubleshoot faults, and carry out repairs to minimise plant downtime.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, health management systems, and electrical standards.
- Monitor CHPP performance, maintain maintenance / operations records, and assist with HV switching and isolations for safe access.
What You'll Bring:
- Previous experience in CHPP, large-scale process plant production and maintenance environments.
- Proven experience performing complex plant isolations to ensure safe access for maintenance and repair activities.
- Exposure to mobile plant and machinery, including Dozer, Loader, Forklift, EWP, Franna and Skid Steer.
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Strong communication and organisational skills
