Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. As one of Australia's largest gold producers, Boddington is recognised for its leadership in innovation and technology, including becoming the world's first gold mine to implement an Autonomous Haulage System.

Your Contribution
As an Ancillary Operator, you'll operate mobile equipment safely, effectively and efficiently to support operational requirements at Boddington Gold Mine. You'll contribute to a flexible production crew focused on achieving quality production outcomes while maintaining safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
As part of Our Team You Will
- Operate a range of mobile equipment safely and efficiently to support production requirements, including dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, dump trucks and water trucks.
- Complete pre-start, start-up, daily checks, cabin housekeeping, park-up and shutdown activities in line with site requirements.
- Identify, report and record machinery faults, hazards, risks or other issues that may affect safe and efficient operations.
- Follow safe operating procedures, pit road rules, speed limits, signs and communication protocols when operating around other equipment.
- Support production outcomes by operating equipment to minimise ore spillage, optimise cycle times and deliver material as directed.
Prerequisites for Success in This Role
- W.A. “C” and “MR” class driver’s licences.
- Previous heavy earthmoving experience preferably attained within a mining environment.
- Familiarity with open-cut mining or quarry operations.
- Appropriate certificates of competency and Senior First Aid (highly desirable).
- Self-motivation, discipline, sound communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively with varied groups.
