Job Description

Mechanical Technician – Power Generation | 2:2 Roster | $160K–$180K + Super

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the energy and power generation sector, seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role working on critical power infrastructure with excellent earning potential and work-life balance.
Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on energy / power generation sites
  • Hands-on experience with Jenbacher gas engines (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repair skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads autonomously
  • Strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, servicing, and overhaul of gas engines
  • Fault finding and breakdown response on critical power generation equipment
  • Ensuring reliability and performance of Jenbacher engines
  • Working autonomously while adhering to strict safety standards
