About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Specialist to support the successful delivery and transition of major projects into operations at a large-scale gold processing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a mining professional with experience in operational readiness, commissioning, asset handover or project integration to play a key role in ensuring new infrastructure is safely and efficiently transitioned into an operational environment.

The Opportunity

Working within the Major Projects team, you will coordinate operational readiness activities across multiple project workstreams, ensuring operational, maintenance and support teams are fully prepared for the commissioning, start-up and handover of new assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate operational readiness activities across major project work packages
• Support commissioning, start-up and asset handover processes
• Coordinate readiness plans, workstreams and project milestones
• Ensure operational procedures, maintenance strategies and documentation are completed prior to handover
• Facilitate collaboration between Project, Construction, Commissioning and Operations teams
• Identify readiness risks and develop mitigation and recovery strategies
• Monitor operational readiness progress and provide regular reporting to project leadership
• Support training, competency and change management activities for operational personnel
• Coordinate punch lists, defect management and handover documentation
• Ensure project deliverables are transitioned safely and efficiently into operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Experience in Operational Readiness, Commissioning, Project Delivery or Asset Handover within the mining or resources sector
• Demonstrated experience supporting major capital or sustaining capital projects
• Strong understanding of commissioning, start-up and transition to operations
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex project environments
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with project governance, risk management and reporting
• Engineering, Project Management or Trade background highly regarded
