About the Company

Altonorte is a metallurgical complex located in Barrio Industrial La Negra, 25 kilometres from the city of Antofagasta. It produces and markets copper anodes, sulphuric acid and copper in solution (PLS). Purpose of the role

Role purpose: Inspect equipment, verify parameters, and assist with field operations to oversee cooling and slag treatment, ensuring copper recovery as concentrate and the safe disposition of tailings, contributing to the reliability and availability of equipment.

Principal Functions

• Inspect on-site operation equipment, monitoring and emergency systems of the slag treatment plant processes and tailings storage facility.
• Perform on-site measurements of operating parameters for slag treatment processes and tailings storage facility.
• Execute on-site support to operations in coordination with the control room operator.
• Execute on-site commissioning and/or shutdown of equipment with local breakers in coordination with the control room operator, shift supervisor and/or maintenance.
• Maintain the order and cleanliness of the work area. Support the supervisor with deviations in the IDEn.

Requirements

• Formation: Technical Diploma (Medium Level) or Metallurgical Technician.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in roles related to plant processes.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of Concentrator Plant Process or related plants.
• Other: Turno: 4x4; Contract: Plazo Fijo; Location: Altonorte, Antofagasta Region.
