About the Role

As our Purchasing Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operations have the materials and equipment they need to keep moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Raising and managing purchase orders for site materials and equipment
  • Liaising with suppliers to monitor orders and delivery schedules
  • Receiving, storing and issuing goods efficiently
  • Managing inventory levels and completing regular stocktakes
  • Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best outcomes for the business
  • Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory principles
  • Loading and unloading freight in accordance with Chain of Responsibility requirements
  • Ensuring stores and hazardous materials are managed safely and in line with HSE requirements
  • Analysing inventory trends and preparing reports to support purchasing decisions
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures and statutory requirements
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities across purchasing and inventory processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Based in Perth (Essential)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Purchasing, Stores or similar role (Essential)
  • Previous mining industry experience (Essential)
  • Crushing industry experience (highly regarded)
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence (Essential)
  • High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (Essential)
  • Strong customer service, communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience using purchasing and inventory management systems
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, including a National Police Clearance
