Anglo American Steelmaking Coal Moranbah North Mine is excited to announce that applications are now open for our 2026 New to Industry Miners Program intake! Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.

About the Role

Moranbah North Underground Mine is excited to announce that our New to Miners Program is now accepting applications for the 2026 intake! As a New to Industry Miner, you will:

• Be employed on a two (2) year Fixed Term Contract
• Gain a broad understanding of the underground mining process (Development, Longwall and Outbye) as you rotate through the various operational departments.
• Work alongside a range of experienced technical and operational professionals where you will gain experience on a range of underground specific machinery such as driftrunners, loaders and bolters.
• Undertake a Certificate II in Underground Coal Mining Operations.
