The Opportunity

Komatsu is looking for a technically minded Product Manager / Technical Account Manager to take ownership of our Quarry product portfolio and help drive the continued growth of our business across Australi & New Zealand. This is a role for someone who understands heavy equipment and how it works in the real world. You’ll use your technical and product knowledge to understand customer requirements, shape product strategy, identify market opportunities and support our sales teams in winning and growing business. You’ll work closely with major Quarry & Construction Utility customers, our national sales network, and Komatsu teams across Product, Technical Services, Parts and our global operations. Travel is a key part of the role, with regular travel across Australia, New Zealand and to visit customers, sites, branches and industry events.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and drive the product strategy for Komatsu’s Quarry equipment portfolio.
• Act as the technical and product specialist for Wheel Loaders, Articulated Dump Trucks and Rigid Dump Trucks.
• Work with customers to understand their operations, equipment requirements and future needs.
• Translate customer and market feedback into product, pricing and commercial strategies.
• Support the sales network with product knowledge, technical expertise and customer solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with major national Quarry customers.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and product positioning.
• Work with Komatsu’s global product and marketing teams on product development and strategy.
• Support new product launches, demonstrations, product training and customer engagement.
• Travel nationally and internationally as required to support customers, sites and the business.

Role Located: Fairfield, NSW (We are open to considering applications from Brisbane, QLD or Melbourne, Victoria)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in Product Management, Product Support, Technical Account Management, Applications, Capital Equipment Sales or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and its application within Quarry, Mining or Construction environments.
• Experience with Wheel Loaders, Articulated Dump Trucks, Rigid Dump Trucks or similar equipment would be highly regarded.
• A strong understanding of customer operations and how equipment performance impacts their business.
• Ability to translate technical product knowledge into commercial opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of market share, pricing, margins and profitability.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia.
• SAP and MS Office experience desirable.
