About the Role
As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will play a key role in maintaining access roads throughout the rail corridor, ensuring road conditions remain safe and operational for daily use.
Working across multiple sites, you'll be responsible for operating a range of heavy equipment while maintaining high safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy plant equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and rehabilitate access roads along the rail corridor.
- Float and relocate equipment between project sites as required.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks.
- Identify and report maintenance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to deliver project outcomes.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, site standards, and operational requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in construction, civil, mining, or infrastructure environments.
- Experience operating: CAT Graders; Rollers; Watercarts; Loaders; Heavy Combination Trucks.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
- Minimum HR licence or HC Driver's Licence is highly desirable.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience maintaining access roads and haul roads.
- Additional plant operating tickets, licences, or certifications.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
- Experience working in remote infrastructure, rail, mining, or civil environments.
To Be Successful, You Will
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy machinery.
- Current driver's licence and relevant operating competencies.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- A commitment to safe work practices.
- The ability to work a residential roster in Karratha.
- Flexibility to travel between sites and relocate equipment when required.
