Cape Lambert | Day Crew | Residential Opportunity

We are currently seeking experienced Mobile Plant Operators (Civil) with proven Grader and Loader experience to join the Rio Tinto Team on  Day Crew at Cape Lambert.

This is an excellent opportunity for local residents to secure a long-term role working across Cape Lambert Operations, completing road maintenance activities and supporting a range of ad hoc civil works and small projects.

What's on Offer?

• $53.00 - $63.00 per hour flat rate + superannuation
• Day shift only roster (5:5:4)
• 12 hour shifts (6am - 6pm)
• Immediate start available
• Opportunity to work within Rio Tinto operations
• Potential pathway to a permanent Rio Tinto role after 12 months for high-performing employees

Key Responsibilities

• Operating graders and loaders safely and efficiently
• Road construction and maintenance activities
• Supporting civil maintenance and project works across site
• Completing pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Maintaining a strong commitment to site safety standards

About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience operating Graders and Loaders
• Previous experience within civil construction and road maintenance
• Strong safety focus and a positive team attitude
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver quality outcomes
• Full Australian working rights

Residential Requirement - Local Applicants Only This is NOT a FIFO position.

Applicants must currently reside and have permanent accommodation in one of the following locations:

• Wickham
• Point Samson
• Roebourne

Only candidates who are already living in these areas will be considered.
