Mining Supervisor | Open Pit Load & Haul | Lithium Operations

About the Company

MLG is a leading ASX-listed mining services business delivering bulk haulage, crushing, screening and integrated site services across Western Australia. As our operations continue to expand, we're seeking an experienced Supervisor to drive safety, productivity and team performance across our haulage operations.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager or Superintendent, you'll be responsible for leading day-to-day site operations, ensuring crews work safely, efficiently and deliver against production targets.

• Leading and mentoring operators across open pit load and haul operations
• Driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with site procedures
• Managing daily production activities and shift performance
• Coordinating equipment utilisation and operational efficiency
• Monitoring haul road and operational standards
• Conducting pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and workplace inspections
• Supporting training, coaching and development of site personnel
• Managing performance and workforce engagement
• Maintaining accurate operational reporting and handovers
• Working closely with site leadership to achieve production objectives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous Mining Supervisor experience within open pit mining operations
• Strong load and haul operational experience
• Statutory Section 26 qualification (mandatory)
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a production mining environment
• Strong safety leadership and understanding of WA mining legislation
• Experience managing crews, equipment and production outcomes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Sound computer and reporting skills
• Current MC Driver's Licence highly regarded
• Lithium mining experience highly desirable
• Previous mining contractor experience highly regarded
