Based in Townsville, you will play a pivotal role in supporting workforce growth and capability by delivering efficient, accurate and high‑quality recruitment services. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers across both corporate and site environments, contributing to a positive candidate experience and strengthening the organisation’s talent pipeline.
Your new role
As the Recruitment Coordinator, you will:
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment across a broad range of mining roles, including trade, technical, operational and professional positions.
- Lead the recruitment of senior leadership and executive appointments within the mining division.
- Utilise SEEK search, LinkedIn Executive Search and other sourcing platforms to identify high‑calibre talent.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments and pre‑employment checks to ensure a seamless hiring process.
- Maintain recruitment system data and oversee accurate workflow management across candidate pipelines.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to hiring managers, stakeholders and candidates.
- Provide timely recruitment advice and market insights to support effective workforce planning.
- Work autonomously while balancing competing priorities in a fast‑moving operational environment.
- Work from the Townsville office, with drive‑in, drive‑out travel to site locations as required by operational needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and support People & Culture initiatives as needed.
This is a dynamic, hands‑on role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and act as an all‑round recruitment specialist.
What you'll need to succeed
This role is ideal for a proactive, solutions‑focused recruiter who thrives in mining environments and can confidently manage high‑volume and executive‑level recruitment.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience recruiting within the mining industry — essential.
- Strong capability across the full recruitment lifecycle, from entry‑level to executive appointments.
- Hands‑on experience using SEEK search, LinkedIn Executive Search, and modern ATS/HRIS platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal customers.
- Confidence working autonomously while managing fast‑paced and competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and sound judgement when handling sensitive matters.
- High attention to detail and professionalism in candidate care.
- Flexibility to travel to site (drive‑in, drive‑out) as required.
A proactive, “recruitment gun” approach with the ability to deliver outcomes quickly and effectively.
