About the Role
Join a high-performing technical team where you'll bridge mine planning, infrastructure, and operational readiness, helping shape critical decisions across large-scale mining operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Mining Engineer with short to medium-term planning experience to step into a highly visible position, working closely with planning and operational teams to align mine plans with infrastructure delivery, fleet deployment, and evolving electrification requirements.
The Opportunity
- Translate short and medium-term mine plans into actionable infrastructure requirements.
- Influence mine sequencing, fleet deployment, and infrastructure planning decisions.
- Support the integration of emerging technologies and planning systems.
- Contribute to budgeting, trade-off analysis, and change management processes.
- Work across multidisciplinary teams, providing technical input and resolving planning conflicts.
- Help drive standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years experience in open pit mining operations and mine planning.
- Strong background in short to medium-term planning and mine design.
- Proficient with planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Alastri, or similar.
- Sound understanding of mine sequencing, fleet deployment, and operational planning.
- Exposure to infrastructure, electrification, or energy-related mining projects will be highly regarded.
- Analytical, commercially aware, and solutions focused.
