About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Mine Surveyor to be part of the team for a period of 12 months of maternity leave coverage. As a key member of Technical Services, you will report to the Senior Mine Surveyor. You will be responsible for accurate and timely survey control for the Mining and Civil operations on site. You will be required to complete end-of-month (EOM) volume calculations and ensure that data supporting Statutory plans and mine designs are accurate and current.
As part of the broader Technical Services team, you will also have the opportunity to refine and optimise mine plans from concept through to implementation. You will be involved in continuous improvement initiatives, project work, and planning activities that drive operational excellence and support the site's long-term strategy.

About You
- To be considered for this opportunity, you will be a good communicator, be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, and demonstrate safe work behaviours.
- You will ideally have a qualification/specialisation in Mine Surveying and/or demonstrated practical experience in a similar role.
- You will be registered or working towards registration and endorsement with the Surveyors Board of Queensland.

- Mine Surveying qualification
- Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (or working towards) Endorsement

- We are a one and a quarter hour drive from the Mackay hinterland and a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands, with commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville. Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
