Your new role

As a Mid-Term Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate and achievable mine plans across 12-week to annual horizons. You will play a key role in optimising production schedules, ensuring alignment with operational targets, and delivering cost-effective and practical mine designs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in open cut mining
  • Strong experience in mid-term mine planning (12-week to annual horizons)
  • Advanced proficiency in Deswik (Sched, CAD, LHS)
  • Experience in pit design, dump design, haul roads, and scheduling
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, costing, and forecast accuracy (+/-5%)
  • Knowledge of QLD mining legislation and safety standards
  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
