We are now seeking a Metallurgy Technician to join our Processing team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, supporting the processing and extraction of gold by conducting sample analysis, ensuring quality control, and contributing to process improvements while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster and accountable to the Senior Production Metallurgist. We operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

About the role

• Responsible for sampling duties and laboratory test work including sample preparation and analysis.
• Ensuring that all testing procedures are carried out according to established protocols and standards, and that results are reliable and reproducible.
• Maintaining laboratory and plant equipment/instrumentation to ensure continuous and accurate operation.
• Coordinate the collection of data, information, and reporting for the Metallurgy Work Group.
• Routine and adhoc plant sampling for surveys and process improvement work.
• Assist with routine gold room duties such as cleaning electrowinning cells and smelting**.**

About you

• Previous experience in Gold Processing or Metallurgical Labs is desirable but not essential
• Basic computer skills
• Enthusiasm to learn
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and initiative
• Current WA Manual Driver’s License
• Ability to attain a National Police Clearance
• Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
