Your new role
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical construction activities and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising mechanical construction works across the project
- Ensuring all activities comply with the Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
- Coordinating contractors, trades, and site personnel
- Managing daily work scopes and construction schedules
- Monitoring work quality and ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Conducting safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
- Providing leadership, mentoring, and technical support to mechanical teams
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and construction issues
- Reporting on project progress, resources, and field activities
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience supervising construction works within a Queensland coal mining SHMS environment
- Strong experience in mechanical construction methodologies
- Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary work crews
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commitment to safety leadership and compliance
- Ability to coordinate contractors and manage competing priorities
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification or engineering qualification
- Current Australian driving licence
