About the Role

The Opportunity: As our Production Engineer – PDI, you’ll lead engineering and improvement projects across new machine builds, attachments, fittings and assembly processes.

You’ll drive cycle-time reduction, layout optimisation, tooling upgrades, quality improvements and workflow standardisation to support Komatsu’s growth. This role is central to delivering efficiency, consistency and OEM-level build quality across the Fairfield PDI operation.

Role Located: Fairfield, NSW

What we are looking for

• Mechanical Engineering background with experience in production or manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated capability in process improvement, tooling design, FTA/RCA and quality systems
• Ability to optimise assembly flow, sub‑assembly processes and workshop layouts
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical reporting skills
• Experience with production control systems and engineering data management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality tools
• Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
