Mechanical Operator (On & Offshore)
Pearl Recruitment Group
Job Description
09th April, 2026
Our client, based south of the river, supplies an extensive range of air compressors, steam generators, steam heat exchangers, sand filters, coflexip hoses and air treatment ancillaries to both onshore and offshore facilities.
They are now seeking a permanent full-time Qualified Mechanic to operate, maintain, service, repair and modify the company's onshore and offshore equipment.
This is not your typical offshore role. You'll be based locally at Bibra Lake, working excellent work/life balance hours of 6:30am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, earning a base salary of $101,301 + super.
Around 30% of your working year will involve offshore work. As this is a rentals/service environment, you'll remain on site until the job is complete (ranging from one to three weeks). For this offshore work, you'll receive an additional day rate of $300-$400 (negotiable depending on experience). Any weekend or public holiday work is returned as time in lieu.
This business has a long history of stability and strong retention, making it ideal for someone who values steady employment, work/life balance and a supportive, mature team environment, rather than chasing FIFO rosters or excessive hours.
To be successful, you'll ideally bring:
- Mechanical trade qualification - HD, LV (Australian recognised) or relevant fixed plant experience considered
- Current BOSIET and MSIC (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass an OGUK Medical
- Current Boiler Ticket - BS, BI, BA (preferred, not essential)
- Confined Spaces & Working at Heights
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Full Australian working rights and current WA residency
