The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for performing planned maintenance, reactive breakdown maintenance and shutdown work across our Utilities Department.
You will be responsible for:
- The planned and preventative maintenance and repairs for a vast array of equipment, including:
- Gas turbines, Steam turbines & Gas fired boilers;
- Various HP and LP multi stage, positive displacement feedwater pumps and associated pipework and valve assembly’s
- Blowers, compressors, tanks and pressure vessels
- You will also ensure safety and permit to work systems and procedures are adhered to; and
- Have the ability to work un-supervised
About You
This role would suit an experienced Turbine Technician with well-practiced problem solving skills and ideally with previous experience working in a complex hydrometallurgical process plant.
You will also have:
- A Trade or Engineering related disciplined qualification;
- Previous experience working within a power, water and/or gas plant
- Thorough understanding and/or previous experience with some of our on-site power generation asset troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of:
- GE LM2500+DLE Gas Turbines
- Siemens V40A Steam Turbines
- Single stage RLHB24 Coppus Turbines
- Various Caterpillar and Cummins diesel black start generators
- Various multi-stage, positive displacement water pumps and diaphragm dosing pumps
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; and
- A valid and current Manual Drivers Licence.
