Our client is a specialist engineering and maintenance provider delivering high-level support across rotating equipment, compressors, and industrial machinery. They are kicking off a short-term offshore project and are now seeking experienced 10x Mechanical Fitters to join their team.

This is a high-paying opportunity suited to fitters with strong exposure to rotating equipment maintenance who are confident working in offshore environments.

Job Details:

  • The current mobilisation date 29/05/2026, with an estimated duration of 25–30 days.
  • There may still be flexibility around mobilisation dates depending on the final crew allocations, so even if you’re unavailable from the 29th, it would still be great to hear from you with your availability.
  • Location: Shell Prelude
  • Pay Rate: DS $100 p/h + super NS $105 p/h + super

Scope of Work:

  • Maintenance, repair and servicing of rotating equipment including compressors, pumps, turbines and gearboxes
  • Inspection, testing and reporting on mechanical components and valves
  • Disassembly, fault finding and rebuild of mechanical equipment
  • Working both independently and within a team in a high-performance environment
  • Ensuring all work is completed to quality and safety standards
  • Heavily focused on rotating equipment, including compressors and valve systems

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
  • Proven experience working on rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines etc.)
  • Strong fault finding and maintenance capability
  • Ability to pass medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Offshore experience highly regarded
  • BOSIET (essential)
  • MSIC (essential)
  • Escape Chute Training (essential)
  • Flange Management
  • Full Unrestricted Australian Working Rights

  • Hands-on and confident with rotating equipment maintenance
  • Comfortable working in offshore conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
