About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Hydraulic Fitter to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
  • Providing mechanical maintenance and services
  • Trouble shooting and the ability to located and solve unplanned breakdowns with attention to detail and in a timely manner.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is performed to trade standards, following the plan and specifications, and meets desired availability targets
  • Maintaining our onsite maintenance systems and ensure the integrity of recorded data is compliant
  • Liaise with key personnel and share ideas for overall improvement outcomes
  • Identify, assess and control workplace hazards

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3+ Years post trade experience in a mining environment
  • Have previous experience working on 600t Class Excavators and Mining Drills
  • Able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role, in an open-cut coal mine
  • Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
