We’re currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a long-term opportunity based in Henderson, working within a well-established engineering company supporting the marine, mining, and industrial sectors.
This role is primarily workshop-based, with occasional opportunities to attend site, working on a variety of heavy mechanical equipment and complex components. The position suits someone with a strong diagnostic mindset, more mechanical technician than production line fitter who takes pride in understanding how systems work and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a range of mechanical equipment and components
- Carry out strip-downs, rebuilds, and detailed inspections
- Work on gearboxes, pumps, winches, and other heavy mechanical systems
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Maintain a high standard of safety and workmanship in both workshop and site environments
Requirements
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Current Driver’s Licence
- EWP Licence
- Working at Heights
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical & D&A screen
- Marine experience is highly regarded but not essential.
