Mechanical Fitter

The Role

• Carry out routine, shutdown, and breakdown maintenance on crushing plant equipment
• Operate and monitor crushing plant as required, including inspections and logging performance data
• Maintain and operate mobile equipment (e.g. loaders, bobcats)
• Complete inspections, servicing, and reporting documentation
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across plant, workshop, and vehicles
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure production targets are met
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses
• Participate in risk assessments and safety initiatives

What You’ll Need

• Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Minimum 12 months experience in crushing plant or fixed plant maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Experience with hydraulics, crushers, and general mechanical maintenance
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• High attention to safety and detail

Highly Regarded:

• HR Licence
• High Risk Work Licence (DG, RB, CN, WP)
• Confined Space, Working at Heights & Gas Testing
• First Aid / CPR
