About Our Client:
Our client is a leading Australian mining company focused on the safe and efficient operation of critical infrastructure supporting their production activities. An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Operations Technician Brine to join their team at the Lake Way operation near Wiluna.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong borefield experience who are looking to join a safety-focused operation offering a balanced 2/2 roster and long-term opportunities within the mining industry.
What You Will Be Doing:
As an Operations Technician Brine, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of borefields, pumping systems, and brine infrastructure. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with site safety standards.
Your duties will include:
Installing, removing, and repairing bores and bore pipework
Conducting daily inspections of bores, pipelines, and roadways
Performing scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities
Troubleshooting faults and defects on equipment and infrastructure
Operating machinery and equipment within manufacturer guidelines
Completing routine inspections and maintaining accurate operational records
Reporting equipment defects and operational issues in a timely manner
Participating in safety meetings, Take-5s, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes
Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and company policies
Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives across brine operations
Working safely within remote mining environments and harsh conditions
Roster:
2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off
Day Shift Only
6:00am 6:00pm rostered shifts
11.5 paid hours per day
30-minute unpaid lunch break and two paid 15-minute breaks
FIFO role to Lake Way, Wiluna
ASAP Start Available
What You Will Need:
Minimum 23 years' experience working on borefields within a mining environment
Strong knowledge of brine operations, borefields, and pumping systems
Experience working with HDPE pipelines and associated infrastructure
Current HR Class Driver's Licence
Construction White Card
Loader Ticket
Telehandler Ticket
Excavator Ticket
Dogman Ticket
Basic Rigging Ticket
Ability to work safely in remote and physically demanding environments
Intermediate computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and operational excellence
