Job Description

Liontown Resources (ASX: LTR) | Perth | Monday–Friday

Who are we?

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is an ASX listed company with a focus on battery minerals. We aim to be an ESG leader in the resources sector and a globally significant provider of battery minerals for the rapidly growing clean energy market. We will do this by finding, developing and supplying the battery minerals required by the rapidly growing electric vehicle and energy storage industries.

We control two major lithium deposits in Western Australia and have ambition to grow our portfolio through downstream expansion and exploration acquisitions.

Our flagship Kathleen Valley Lithium Project is a Tier 1 hard rock lithium asset, recognised for its scale, grade, and longevity. Now ramping up underground production, Kathleen Valley represents one of the most significant new lithium operations globally and is central to Liontown's long-term growth strategy.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Finance Transformation Manager who will lead the redesign and improvement of core finance processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control across the Finance division, including the integration of acquired business finance functions into Liontown's operating model.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role is accountable for driving end-to-end process reengineering across month-end close, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, transaction services and compliance activities, with a focus on embedding sustainable improvements that reduce manual effort, strengthen governance, and support scalable operations.

The position operates as a dedicated transformation resource within the Finance division, translating strategic improvement priorities into structured programs of work and managing their delivery through to measurable outcomes. The Finance Transformation Manager works across finance teams and with systems, technology, and operational stakeholders to ensure process changes are fit for purpose, well governed, and embedded effectively into business-as-usual operations - including ensuring acquired entities adopt Liontown's ways of working, governance standards, and financial processes in a structured and timely manner.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leads the design and implementation of reengineered finance processes across month-end close, financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, transaction services and compliance activities, ensuring changes deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and control.
  • Leads the adoption of technology including AI and BI tools, robotic process automation, enterprise system adoption, and analytics tooling.
  • Leads the design, implementation, adoption and expansion of an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system through a structured and staged program of development with external EPM software providers and implementation partners.
  • Manages the Finance transformation program, including scoping, planning, prioritisation, and delivery of improvement initiatives, maintaining clear governance, stakeholder alignment, and progress reporting throughout.
  • Identifies and resolves structural inefficiencies in month-end close and financial reporting processes, driving reductions in cycle time and manual effort while maintaining reporting integrity and compliance standards.
  • Reviews and strengthens financial controls and compliance processes, ensuring improvements are embedded in a way that reduces risk and supports the organisation’s statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Partners with Finance Systems and technology teams to identify and implement system-enabled process improvements, ensuring finance processes are supported by fit-for-purpose tools and automation where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in finance process improvement, transformation, or operational excellence, including demonstrated delivery of end-to-end process reengineering in a finance function
  • Proven experience managing or leading improvement programs across month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance processes in a complex organisation
  • Relevant experience working with ERP and finance systems in the context of process improvement; familiarity with SAP is desirable
  • Experience in a resources, mining, or industrial environment is advantageous
  • Proven ability to manage change and engage stakeholders across finance and non-finance teams through periods of operational transformation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (required)
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (required)
