Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster:  Monday to Friday

The Manager AI Adoption will lead Fortescue-wide adoption of artificial intelligence, helping team members confidently use AI to improve safety, productivity, decision making and innovation. This role will build the programs, communities and adoption measures needed to embed practical AI use across operational and corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Fortescue’s enterprise AI adoption roadmap
• Shape priorities for AI adoption, capability development and platform improvement
• Monitor external AI developments and turn emerging opportunities into practical actions
• Build and scale AI champion and power user networks across the business
• Partner with teams to identify opportunities, test solutions and accelerate adoption
• Work with Organisational Development to embed AI into learning and leadership programs
• Lead communications, success stories and engagement campaigns that build awareness
• Coordinate AI community activities, including hackathons and communities of practice
• Partner with Cyber Security, Legal, Risk and Company Secretariat to support responsible AI use
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure AI adoption, use and impact.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, education, organisational psychology or a related field
• Significant experience leading change, digital transformation or technology adoption programs
• Demonstrated success driving large-scale adoption in complex organisations
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and frontline teams
• Experience building communities of practice, champion networks or engagement programs
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and practical business applications
• Experience defining metrics and measuring adoption, use and business impact
• Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching and presentation skills
• Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to turn ideas into practical outcomes
• Comfortable working in fast-moving and ambiguous technology environments.
