Maintenance Support Officer

Our client, a nationally recognised supplier of construction materials, is currently seeking a Maintenance Support Officer to join their team on a temp-to-permanent basis. Based at their Middle Swan site, this role is ideal for someone with previous mechanical experience to work alongside the current Maintenance Planner to support maintenance documentation, planning, and work management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of maintenance-related documentation, including procedures and training records
• Prepare and update maintenance documentation such as SWMS, permits, and work packs
• Review and improve standard operating procedures for routine maintenance tasks in collaboration with the maintenance team
• Liaise with tradespeople and supervisors to ensure corrective actions and maintenance improvements are effectively implemented
• Support the Maintenance Planner in maintaining accurate maintenance records and up-to-date planning strategies

About you:

• Relevant trade qualification highly regarded
• Strong mechanical background within an industrial environment
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Good computer literacy, with experience using SAP PM or MEX software (highly regarded)
  Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
